Powertrain – 3.6-Liter Pentastar® V6 Engine

The new 3.6-Liter Pentastar® V6 engine features variable valve timing and comes standard with a state-of-the-art five-speed automatic transmission. Some of its key features include lightweight aluminum construction, dual independent camshaft phasing for improved fuel economy and performance, variable valve timing technology, long-life spark plugs and a high-energy coil-on-plug ignition system to help reduce the cost of ownership, ultra-low tension piston rings for reduced friction, and a structural oil pan for reduced noise.
